Susan G. Komen for the CureThe 2012 Chipping Away at Cancer Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at the Orange Tree Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ.This year, in an effort to broaden the reach of our fundraising efforts, all net proceeds will be endowed to the Phoenix Affiliate. Established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker, Susan G. Komen for the Cure was created from a promise made to her sister Susan Goodman Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, Komen for the Cure is an international organization with a network of over 100,000 survivors and activists. Up to 75% of all monies raised stays within the local community, and 25% funds the Susan G. Komen Research Grant Program. Chipping Away at Cancer began as a group of friends wanting to make a difference in the lives of those touched by cancer. No longer able to passively sit by and watch while friends and family members continued in their struggle, we chose to take action. Please join us in taking action and becoming part of the solution this year. Thank you in advance for partnering with us in 2012, as your contribution will make an important difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer Please come out and join us in |
At the last event we raised over $20,000, totaling over $90,000 in four years. Please click below to read the "thank you" letter from Susan G. Komen for the Cure (who we gave the donation to last year) for everyone's hard work and effort at the event. |
